    Program Structure

    MBA (Finance)

    MBA (Financial Management) programme offered by the Department of Financial Studies, University of Delhi is a full time two year course comprising of four semesters. Each semester comprises of seven subjects that are specially designed to equip students with conceptual and analytical skills for financial decision making. The first two semesters focus on building the foundation of the principles of Finance, Economics, Accounting and Quantitative Techniques. This is achieved through classroom discussions, case studies and role-playing exercises. There is emphasis on the application of the academic framework to real life problems and understanding the industry perspective. The latter semesters offer the students an opportunity to specialize in the subjects in the form of electives that help realize their career choice. A deeper understanding of these specializations is achieved through group projects and assignments.

    The two-year MBA program is divided into four semesters also the students are required to undergo 6 – 8 weeks of practical summer training (Internship) with a reputed organization working on real-life business projects to gain real world corporate work experience.

    Curriculum

    The course curriculum has been designed in view of the objectives of the course and on the basis of extensive consultations with eminent academicians, leading practitioners in the industry as well as MBA (FM) alumni working at senior levels in the industry.

    The MBA (FM) curriculum is divided into two parts, each consisting of two semesters. Part I includes Semester I and Semester II, while Part II comprises Semester III and Semester IV, with schedule of papers prescribed for examination in each semester as below:
