Entrepreneurship and International Relations Committee (E&IR)
The Entrepreneurship Cell of DFS fosters entrepreneurial spirit by providing financial assistance, mentorship from seasoned entrepreneurs, and access to workshops, seminars, and networking events. This comprehensive support equips students with the skills, knowledge, and connections necessary to turn innovative ideas into successful ventures.
The Entrepreneurship Cell enhances DFS by promoting the application of financial theories to real-world scenarios. Students gain hands-on experience in budgeting, financial planning, and investment analysis, deepening their understanding of financial management. It broadens career horizons by introducing students to startups, venture capital, and entrepreneurial finance, encouraging exploration of innovative career paths.
The International Relation Cell seeks partnerships with global organizations to offer cross-cultural collaboration and learning opportunities. These partnerships expose students to diverse perspectives, markets, and business practices, enhancing their entrepreneurial endeavors. Efforts are underway to establish exchange programs with universities worldwide, allowing students to immerse themselves in different entrepreneurial ecosystems and understand global trends.
DFS has MoUs with ESC Pau, France, for student exchange and summer training; REIMS Business School, France, for student and faculty exchange and joint research; and the University of Akron, Ohio, USA, for student exchange and joint research. Negotiations are ongoing with other institutions, including the National Institute of Financial Management, Finance Industry Development Council, University of Strathclyde Glasgow, University of Western Sydney, and Bucharest University of Economic Studies. These MoUs are awaiting university approval.
In the latest election, Mr. Ashutosh Soni was elected Secretary, and Ms. Noorash Parveen assumed the role of Joint Secretary for the 2024-25 term.
