Minimum Eligibility
The minimum eligibility requirements for the MBA (Finance) Program are:
- Graduate (under 10+2+3) in any discipline with at least 50% marks, from the University of Delhi or any other University recognized as equivalent thereto, with Mathematics/Business Mathematics at Class XII level.
- Students appearing in the final year of the Bachelor’s Degree examination can also apply. However, they should meet the above-mentioned eligibility requirements latest by mid-September of the new session or a date as will be specified by the University of Delhi in this regard.
The selected candidates must submit their final year results of Graduation by mid-September of the session, or a date as will be specified by the University of Delhi in this regard, failing which their admission will be automatically cancelled.
Relaxation/Concession: Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe
The minimum eligibility requirement for the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe candidates will be that they must have passed the qualifying school/degree examination. Provided that the minimum eligibility for admission to post-graduate courses be the minimum pass marks of the qualifying examination concerned of the University of Delhi. In the case of Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe candidates who have passed the last qualifying examination from other Universities, they should have secured at least the same percentage of pass marks at the qualifying examination as prescribed for the equivalent examination of Delhi University for purposes of admission to the post-graduate course of this University. Where the admission is based on screening/written test, the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe candidates would also be required to take the test but their merit list will be drawn separately.
Candidates must ensure that they satisfy the above eligibility conditions before applying. If at any stage of the admission process, a candidate is found ineligible, his/her application will be cancelled immediately – no queries/clarifications shall be entertained in this regard. The Department’s decision in this regard will be final.
Reservation
The Departments will follow the University Norms regarding the reservation of seats for EWS (Economically Weaker Sections), SC/ST, OBC, Physically Challenged candidates, and Children/Widows/Wives of the Officers and Men of the Armed Forces including Para-Military Personnel killed/disabled in action at wars. Admissions of the candidates to the programmes eligible under reserved categories will be subject to verification of relevant certificates (e.g. caste/medical certificate).
In addition to the number of seats specified for these programmes, supernumerary seats are available for foreign students. All foreign students need to apply through the Foreign Students’ Registry, University of Delhi. The foreign students will be shortlisted on the basis of their GMAT and TOEFL latest scores. All foreign students are required to meet the requirements as specified by Foreign Students’ Registry, University of Delhi plus any other as prescribed by the concerned department for the programs.
Criterion for Short-Listing for PI
Overall and sectional cutoffs in CAT percentile results would be applied for short-listing General Category candidates for PI.
Short-listing will be done on the basis of candidates’ CAT percentile and marks scored in Class X and Class XII Examinations.
Female candidates will be given some extra weightage.
Candidates with the following undergraduate degrees will receive extra weightage:

- B. A./B.Sc. (Hons.) (Economics)
- B. A. (Hons.) (Business Economics)
- BBS/BMS
- BFIA/BBA(FIA)

Weightage System for Short-Listing for PI
The shortlisted candidates shall be called for Personal Interview (PI). In case, PI at the University Campus is not possible owing to exogenous/unavoidable circumstances, then PI would stand cancelled. In that case, the Final Merit List for admission to the MBA(F) program would be prepared on the basis of the weightage for final selection, wherein the weightage of PI would be taken as zero for all candidates. Further, sectional cutoff will be applied only for the Unreserved category.

Final selection will be based on CAT Scores, Marks scored in PI, Marks Scored in Class X and Class XII Examinations and Weightage to Graduate Degrees (mentioned above) and to female candidates. The following weightage system will be followed for short-listing for final selection.
