The Entrepreneurship and International Relations Committee of the Department of Finance and Business Economics (DFBE), University of Delhi, organised Business Summit 2026 on February 27, 2026, at the SP Jain Auditorium, South Campus. The summit brought together students, industry leaders, financial institutions, and innovators for discussions on the evolving impact of financial technology on the modern financial ecosystem.
Titled “FinTech: Beyond Its Hype,” the summit focused on understanding the real implications of technological innovation in finance by highlighting practical applications, emerging risks, and opportunities for responsible and inclusive growth in the sector.
The event was inaugurated by Chief Guest Smt. Parminder Chopra, Chairman and Managing Director, Power Finance Corporation Ltd., and Guest of Honour Dr. Parminder Varma, Whole-Time Director and Chief Business Officer, Mirae Asset Sharekhan Ltd., who shared valuable insights on digital transformation, financial inclusion, and sustainable innovation in India’s financial landscape.
The summit featured three thematic panel discussions addressing key dimensions of fintech transformation:
Coverage and Wealth Creation:
Amit Vashisht, Abhayendra Singh, and Akhil Kishore discussed how artificial intelligence, personalised advisory solutions, and digital platforms are improving access to insurance and investment services and enabling wider participation in wealth creation.
Capital Ownership and Real Estate:
Sandeep Biswas, Pranav Bhalla (CFA), Shajai Jacob, and Bhavin Doshi examined how fintech innovations are transforming property financing, valuation processes, and ownership accessibility beyond traditional institutional channels.
Credit and Payment Systems:
Ramandeep Singh Sadana, Rakesh Bansal, Supriya Rana, and Himanshu Pahuja explored developments in digital lending, embedded finance, and instant payment systems, highlighting both efficiency gains and associated regulatory considerations.
Across the three sessions, 13 distinguished speakers from leading organisations such as S&P Global, UTI Mutual Fund, Niva Bupa, Axis AMC, and Capri Global shared valuable industry perspectives.
