MBA (Finance)

The MBA (Financial Management) programme offered by the Department of Financial Studies, University of Delhi is a full time two year course comprising of four semesters. Each semester comprises of five to seven subjects that are specially designed to equip students with conceptual and analytical skills for financial decision making. The first two semesters focus on building the foundation of the principles of Finance, Economics, Accounting and Quantitative Techniques. This is achieved through classroom discussions, case studies and role-playing exercises. There is emphasis on the application of the academic framework to real life problems and understanding the industry perspective. The latter semesters offer the students an opportunity to specialize in the subjects in the form of electives that help realize their career choice. A deeper understanding of these specializations is achieved through group projects and assignments.

Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.)

The Department of Financial Studies offers Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) Programme to scholars who are interested in research work. The Department has carved out a niche for it self over the years for meeting high academics standards clubbed with excellence and originality in research projects. The objective of research at the department is to explore new areas in the field of business and finance.

The programme offers specialization in the areas of E-Commerce, Organisational Behaviour, Marketing, Finance, and Accounting.

The Ph.D. is awarded to those research students who are able to prove their competence in conducting research work which is innovative independent and meaningful.
